SB 293 - Conference Committee Report

The Conference Committee Report to SB 293 changed the structure of the House version. The new version raises Legislator pensions based on a new, $175,000 base salary, and grants authority to the Texas Ethics Commission (a State agency appointed by the Legislature) to unilaterally raise Legislator pensions every 5 years, starting in 2030, all at Taxpayer expense.
