About State Sen. Florence Shapiro

Senator Shapiro is a former Small Business Owner from Plano, Texas. She earned her BS Degree in Secondary Education from the University of Texas at Austin. Senator Shapiro is a former public school teacher, Plano City Council member and Mayor of Plano. She and her husband, Howard, have three children and nine grandchildren. Senator Shapiro has served in the Texas Senate since 1993.
