About State Rep. Joaquin Castro

Representative Castro was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Stanford University and received a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Harvard Law School. He currently practices law in San Antonio and has taught as a visiting professor of law at St. Mary's University and as an adjunct professor at Trinity University in San Antonio. Representative Castro has served in the Texas House of Representatives since 2002.
