About State Sen. John Whitmire

John Whitmire is an attorney from Houston, Texas. He attended the University of Houston receiving a BA degree and earned his JD from Bates College of Law. Currently he is attorney of counsel to the law firm Locke, Lord, Bissell & Liddell L.L.P. Prior to joining the Texas Senate, Senator Whitmire served in Texas House of Representatives from 1973 – 1982. Senator Whitmire has served in the Texas Senate since 1983.
