HB 1516 seeks to audit the TANF system in an attempt to make the system less wasteful. Welfare programs typically have the opposite effect of what they aim to do, usually traping poor families in a vicious cycle of poverty and government dependence. TFR aims that we would end government welfare completely, but auditing and preventing wasteful spending is a huge step in the right direction.
