Senator Van de Putte is a Pharmacist from San Antonio, Texas. She earned her BS Degree from the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband, Pete, have six children and three grandchildren. Prior to joining the Texas Senate, Senator Van de Putte served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1990 – 1999. Senator Van de Putte has served in the Texas Senate since 1999.
