Gilbert Peña was born in Galveston, Texas in 1949 and moved to Houston when he was nine years old. Because of Gilbert’s meager upbringing, he is a lifelong hard worker and has fought the odds time after time. He successfully received his GED and then graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor degree in Political Science in 1996.
Gilbert and his wife Cynthia have lived in Pasadena since 1992. They have four children and six grandchildren. Gilbert is now retired and believes our nation needs to return to the roots of our U.S. and Texas Constitutions, which he believes were conceived through strong Judeo-Christian values. It is with his strong faith in GOD that Gilbert is your voice on issues that matter the most.
Gilbert is a strong Christian and believes that every person must follow the morals and values that favor a marriage between a man and woman, and that as a community we must have a respect for life from conception to natural death. Gilbert further believes that as Texans, we must stand up against those who want to undermine our Judeo-Christian values upon which this nation was founded, and that we cannot protect life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness without our faith.
